What to do when you feel the pain of the world.
There are times as an Empath that we get hit by what is going on in the world. The pain of others can be debilitating and cause us to stagger and feel hopeless even if everything is going well in our own lives.
This simple technique has helped me over and over again, and is easily adapted to any time you are feeling the pain of others!
- Take a deep breath! Pause during that breath and recognize the awareness of the pain and sorrow you are experiencing.
- Honor the pain and sorrow. What happened was not ok, it hurts, and you respect it.
- Gather all of the pain, sorrow, negative energy and hold it in your hands. Keep doing it until you know you have it all.
- Give it gratefully to your Higher Power or the Sun. Thanking them while you do so for the healing of the pain, sorrow, and negativity.
- Fill yourself with Pure Light from your Higher Power, or the Sun, and allow yourself to receive the healing, peace, and hope that it provides!
